Don't force the CMS or theme package to do something it's not designed to do
Today's hack or kludge always becomes tomorrow's massive headache!
Be honest with stakeholder about requests that aren't technically feasible
Avoid grouping separate visual blocks into one internal block: stakeholders love to constantly rearrange things
Never put content directly into files meant to be templates
Avoid per-block customizations; if you must, document the CSS (or template) clearly and explicitly!
