Temporary Disabilities

It is also very easy to think only about permanent disabilities, but there are many common temporary disabilities that could affect computer use, such as:

  • Breaking an arm or a hand
  • Spraining a wrist
  • Reduced hearing from congestion while suffering through a cold or the flu

Even more common are non-medical temporary disabilities that anyone could experience:

  • Listening to a video or audio clip in a noisy restaurant
  • Reading something on a portable device outside on a bright, sunny day
